U.S. immigration · Visa availability
Priority dates, checked.
Compare your immigrant visa priority date with the current U.S. Department of State Visa Bulletin for family-sponsored and employment-based categories. The result is a date check, not a prediction of interview timing or case eligibility.
A date is current when your priority date is earlier than the published cutoff. C means current for everyone; U means unavailable. The October 2026 bulletin is the data snapshot used here.

This table follows the chart and chargeability area selected above. A date in the bulletin means only priority dates earlier than that date may proceed under that chart. The Department of State publishes the authoritative monthly table; this page is a convenience checker.

Frequently asked questions
Does a priority date on the cut-off date count as current?
No. The State Department says the priority date must be earlier than the listed date. A date exactly equal to the cut-off is not treated as current by this checker.
Which chart should I use?
Final Action Dates is the conservative default and indicates when a visa may be issued or an adjustment may be approved. For adjustment of status, USCIS announces monthly whether Dates for Filing may be used instead. Consular processing uses the Department of State rules and National Visa Center instructions.
Does “current” mean my case is ready?
No. It only compares the priority date with the numerical-availability chart. Petition approval, visa classification, documentary requirements, interview scheduling, and other eligibility rules still apply.

Visa Bulletin dates can advance, retrogress, or become unavailable. Confirm the current bulletin and USCIS filing-chart instruction before filing or making travel plans.
