How it works
- On-device: metadata is read straight out of the file in your browser — your photo is never sent to a server.
- What it reads: standard EXIF, GPS, and XMP/IPTC fields — camera make/model, capture date, software, orientation, and location if the photo carries it.
- Why it matters: most phone photos silently carry the exact GPS coordinates of where they were taken. Screenshots and already-shared social-media downloads usually don't.
