Cloud costs · AWS Lambda
AWS Lambda pricing calculator.
Lambda bills for requests and for GB-seconds of compute. Enter invocations a month, average duration and memory to see the bill, the free tier and the cost per million invocations.
10 million invocations a month at 200 ms and 512 MB on x86 in US East cost about $11.80 after the free tier. The same function on Arm costs $9.80.

Formula. GB-seconds = invocations x duration in seconds x memory in MB / 1,024. Compute cost = billable GB-seconds x the per-GB-second rate; request cost = billable requests x $0.20 per million. In US East the first-tier rate is $0.0000166667 per GB-second on x86 and $0.0000133334 on Arm; both architectures charge $0.0000002 per request. Rates are the same in the four regions covered here.
Tiers and free tier. AWS lists lower rates once monthly compute passes 6 billion GB-seconds (x86) or 7.5 billion (Arm), and those tiers are applied here to the billable usage left after the free tier. The free tier is 1 million requests and 400,000 GB-seconds a month per account.
Not included. Provisioned concurrency, SnapStart, ephemeral storage above 512 MB, Lambda@Edge, data transfer, CloudWatch Logs and other services your function calls. Duration is billed per millisecond.

FAQ
How much does AWS Lambda cost per million invocations?
The request charge is $0.20 per million. The compute charge depends on duration and memory: a 100 ms, 128 MB function costs $0.41 per million invocations at list price in US East, a 200 ms, 512 MB function about $1.87.
What is a GB-second?
One second of execution at 1 GB of allocated memory. A 512 MB function running for 200 ms uses 0.1 GB-seconds.
Is Lambda free tier a one-time offer?
The free tier of one million requests and 400,000 GB-seconds is listed as a monthly allowance in the AWS Price List and on the Lambda pricing page. Other functions in your account may already be using it, so the calculator lets you switch it off.
Is Arm cheaper than x86 for Lambda?
In US East the Arm rate is $0.0000133334 per GB-second against $0.0000166667 for x86, about 20% less, while the request price is the same. Your code must run on Arm.
Does Lambda bill in 1 ms steps?
Yes, duration is billed at 1 ms granularity, so average duration is what matters rather than rounding to 100 ms.
