How does IngramSpark price printing?
IngramSpark's rate card says: cost per page x number of pages + cost per cover = cost per book. The rate depends on the binding, trim (the card treats a book under 6.15 in wide as small), the interior (black and white, standard colour, premium colour or ultra-premium colour) and the paper. Publisher-direct orders get a quantity discount: 2% from 100 copies, 5% from 300, 7.5% from 400, 10% from 500, 15% from 1,000, 20% from 1,500, 25% from 2,500, 30% from 5,000 and 35% from 10,000. Rush service adds a 30% print surcharge and a duplex cover adds 0.30 USD per cover. Shipping and order handling are quoted at order time.
Worked example. A 200-page small paperback, black and white, 50 lb white paper: 1.33 + 200 x 0.0146 = $4.25 per book. At 100 copies the 2% tier takes it to $4.17.
Wholesale sales to retailers are not billed to you directly: the publisher is compensated the list price less discount less print cost. For that figure use the publisher compensation calculator. How much does IngramSpark charge to print a book?

What discount do I get for ordering more copies?
On publisher-direct orders: 0% for 1 to 99 copies, then 2%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% and 35% as quantities pass 100, 300, 400, 500, 1,000, 1,500, 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000.
Does IngramSpark charge a title setup fee?
The 2026 rate card lists title set-up as free for print and eBook. A 25 USD charge for file copies administration and other fees may apply; see the card.
Is the print cost the same for wholesale orders?
Wholesale orders are not billed to you. The publisher is compensated the list price less discount less print cost for each sale.
Why is my page count rejected?
Each product has its own page range, for example 18 to 1,200 for 50 lb white paper paperbacks and 18 to 840 for most 70 lb hardcovers.
