Bolivia NIT format checker.
Verificar NIT: tidy a Bolivian NIT and check that it is a plausible run of digits, then go to the Servicio de Impuestos Nacionales to confirm it. This is a format check only.
What it checks: that the input is digits only (spaces, dots and hyphens are ignored) and between 6 and 13 digits long. We found no published check-digit rule to test, so a passing result says nothing about whether the NIT exists.

How the check works
| Part | What happens |
|---|---|
| Allowed characters | Digits 0-9 (spaces, dots and hyphens are removed) |
| Length accepted | 6 to 13 digits (a deliberately lenient range; see the note below) |
Example: “1020 415-021” is read as 1020415021, ten digits, and shown as a plausible shape. It is not looked up anywhere.
What this does not tell you
We could not find a NIT format specification or check-digit rule published by Impuestos Nacionales, so the 6 to 13 digit range is a lenient sanity check of our own, not an official rule. Use the official site to confirm that a NIT exists and is active.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a check digit in a Bolivian NIT?
None is documented publicly, so this tool does not test one.
Why does the tool accept 6 to 13 digits?
Because no official length is published that we could cite. The range only filters out obvious typos.
Where do I confirm a NIT?
On the Impuestos Nacionales website.
Format and check digit only — not an official lookup
This tool works entirely in your browser. A passing result does not prove that a number was issued, is active, or belongs to anyone, and it is not verification by any government. Nothing you type is transmitted, stored or logged.
