YouTube Shorts vs TikTok Creator Rewards eligibility checker.

Enter your subscribers, followers, views and age. See which published requirements you meet and how far you are from the rest.

Thresholds, as published: YouTube needs 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 public watch hours in 12 months or 10 million public Shorts views in 90 days. TikTok lists 18+, 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in 30 days and original videos over a minute. The example inputs meet neither program yet: both YouTube paths and TikTok's follower line are short.

Worked example

With 1,200 subscribers, 2,600 watch hours and 4.2 million Shorts views, a channel meets the 1,000-subscriber line but is 1,400 watch hours short on path A and 5,800,000 Shorts views short on path B, so it is not eligible yet. On TikTok, 19 years old and 120,000 views in 30 days pass, but 8,500 followers is 1,500 short of 10,000. A figure exactly equal to a threshold counts as meeting it.

Methodology: how this works

Each threshold is a constant in the page's script with its source and retrieval date. YouTube's page lists two routes that both need 1,000 subscribers: 4,000 qualified public watch hours in the last 12 months, or 10 million qualified public Shorts views in the last 90 days. The checker evaluates both and reports the gap on each. For the watch-hours route over time, use the 4000 watch hours calculator.

For TikTok the checker applies the figures TikTok lists for the Creator Rewards Program: age 18 or over, 10,000 followers, 100,000 video views in the last 30 days and original videos of at least one minute. TikTok's own support page could not be machine-read when these figures were checked in October 2026, so they were cross-checked against several independent guides. Treat them as needing confirmation in the TikTok app. Country eligibility lists differ between sources and change, so they are not modelled; verify the country list yourself.

Meeting a number is not approval: both platforms review accounts and content. Nothing you type is stored or sent.

What this does not cover

Results vary. This page uses the numbers you enter. It does not predict, estimate or promise what anyone will earn from clipping, and it collects nothing: everything runs in your browser.

FAQ

What are the YouTube Shorts monetization requirements?

YouTube's Partner Program page lists 1,000 subscribers with either 4,000 qualified public watch hours in the last 12 months or 10 million qualified public Shorts views in the last 90 days.

What does TikTok Creator Rewards require?

As listed in TikTok's program materials: 18 or older, 10,000 followers, 100,000 video views in the last 30 days and original videos of at least one minute, in an eligible country. Confirm in the app.

Do I need to meet both YouTube paths?

No. One path is enough, and both need 1,000 subscribers.

Does meeting the thresholds guarantee approval?

No. The platform reviews the account and its content, and the rules can change.

Does Instagram or X pay creators on a view threshold?

This page does not cover them because no official threshold was sourced here.

Is the TikTok country list included?

No. Lists differ across sources and change. Check your country in the TikTok app.
