Method and limits
This planner does no price lookup. It sums only the amounts you enter, spreads the annual domain fee across 12 months, adds any bandwidth overage as GB times your overage price, and multiplies by the horizon you choose. Read the renewal price, not just the first-term promotion, when entering a domain or hosting plan.
Sources, checked 15 October 2026: No provider rates are assumed. Use each provider's own current pricing page and your invoice for the inputs. For metered cloud services see the linked calculators, which cite Amazon CloudFront pay-as-you-go pricing, Amazon S3 pricing and Cloudflare R2 pricing. Estimates only: this is not a provider quote, and list prices change. Check the linked page and your own account before committing spend.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to host a website?
It depends entirely on the plan you choose. This calculator adds your own quoted amounts for hosting, domain, CDN, email, backups and bandwidth rather than assuming a price.
Should I use the renewal price?
Yes. Many plans change price at renewal, so enter the renewal figure to avoid under-budgeting year two.
Does it include tax?
No. Add tax to each amount if it applies to you.
Where do metered cloud costs fit in?
Enter an estimate from the AWS or R2 calculators in the CDN, bandwidth or other fields.
