Origin rate or destination rate
Under the general place-of-supply rule for B2C distance sales, VAT follows the customer. While the single EUR 10,000 threshold still applies to you (see the threshold calculator), these supplies stay subject to VAT in your own Member State. Once it is exceeded, or if you opted for the general rules, the standard or applicable rate of the destination Member State is charged, and the One Stop Shop lets you declare and pay it through one return.
What the numbers show
The tool applies the standard rate for the chosen country to your net price and lists the gross price at both rates. The last line answers a pricing question: if your public price is VAT-inclusive and you do not raise it, a higher destination rate cuts the net revenue you keep, and a lower one raises it. Reduced rates apply to specific goods and services and are not applied here.
This is a planning estimate using standard rates, not tax advice and not an official determination. Reduced rates, exemptions, goods subject to excise duty, B2B reverse charge and place-of-supply rules can change the result. Confirm with your tax authority or adviser.

Frequently asked questions
Which VAT rate do I charge a customer in another EU country?
Once the EUR 10,000 threshold is exceeded, the rate of the customer's Member State applies, according to the European Commission's One Stop Shop guidance. Before that, if you qualify for the threshold, VAT stays at your own Member State's rate.
Is this the standard rate or a reduced rate?
The standard rate. Reduced rates depend on the product and the country, so this tool does not apply them; check the national rate for your goods.
Does this work for B2B sales?
No. It is about sales to consumers. Business-to-business supplies follow different VAT rules and are outside this tool.
Why does the net I keep change?
If you hold a VAT-inclusive shelf price, the VAT portion grows or shrinks with the rate, so the remainder you keep changes. The tool shows this as the last line of the result.
