What the converter changes

The browser decodes the PNG and encodes a new WebP file at the selected quality. Transparent pixels remain transparent. Embedded colour profiles, text chunks, timestamps, and other PNG metadata are not copied.

Private, bounded processing

Conversion happens with the browser canvas API. TNAADO does not receive the selected image. The tool refuses oversized dimensions, checks the returned MIME type and WebP file signature, and only then creates a download.
