How it works
- On-device: your file and password are used only in your browser and are never sent to a server.
- You need the password: this tool decrypts a PDF using the password you type in. It cannot open a PDF whose password you don't know.
- Not a password-cracking tool: there is no button here that guesses, brute-forces, or recovers a forgotten password — that is not something a client-side (or any legitimate) tool can safely do. If you've genuinely lost a PDF's password, you'll need to go back to whoever created it.
