PDF to Word.
Pull the text out of a PDF into an editable .rtf file that opens directly in Word. Runs entirely in your browser. Free: up to 5 pages. Premium: unlimited.
Inputs
Text-fidelity only, and we're saying so up front: this pulls out the words, paragraph by paragraph. It does not recreate columns, tables, images, or exact fonts — if you need pixel-identical layout, use the PDF as-is or a paid conversion service. If you just need the words to edit, this is fast and free.

How it works
- On-device: your file is read and converted in the browser and never uploaded to a server.
- Text extraction: each page's text layer is read out in reading order and grouped into paragraphs.
- Output format: a .rtf (Rich Text Format) file — Word, Google Docs, and Pages all open .rtf directly, and it round-trips text far more reliably than a hand-built .docx would.
- Scanned PDFs: if your PDF is a photo/scan with no real text layer, there's nothing to extract — this tool will say so rather than return an empty file.
Free vs Premium
Free converts up to 5 pages. Premium removes the page limit.
