Brew inputs

A gram is also shown as ounces in the result.
For water, grams are approximately millilitres.
For example, 16 means 16 parts water to 1 part coffee.

How brew ratio works

This calculator uses water weight ÷ ground-coffee weight. A 30 g dose at 16:1 therefore uses 480 g of water. The ratio is a recipe scaling tool, not a promise about strength or taste; grind size, contact time, water and extraction also matter.

Water volume is shown as an approximation because this tool treats 1 g of water as about 1 mL. Use a scale for the most repeatable brew.

Checked

This page is a local arithmetic aid. It does not connect to a coffee machine or evaluate extraction.

Scope

Use weights rather than volume when you need repeatability. The imperial fluid-ounce figure is an approximate water-volume conversion, not a measurement of the coffee grounds.
