WSIB premium rate lookup.
WSIB assigns every Ontario employer an individual rate inside a finer sub-classification, visible only in that employer's own online account — nothing public discloses it. What IS public is WSIB's own broader 35-class rate table, published every year. This tool looks that table up, and estimates a premium from it.
The overall average across all classes for 2026 is $1.23 per $100 of insurable payroll — the lowest in more than 50 years. Individual class rates below range from $0.18 (Professional, Scientific and Technical) to $3.55 (Foundation, Structure and Building Exterior Construction).

Why this isn't "your" WSIB rate
WSIB's rate-setting model assigns every registered business a rate reflecting its own claims history relative to a much finer sub-classification within its broad class — that individual number only appears on the employer's own online statement (available starting each November). A prior attempt at a full WSIB calculator on this site was set aside for exactly this reason: without your specific sub-class rate, a "premium calculator" would be guessing. What follows instead is WSIB's own published class-level rate — the shared-risk average across every business doing the same broad type of work — which is real, current, and public.

Frequently asked questions
Is this my actual WSIB premium rate?
No. This is the published average rate for your broad WSIB class. Your actual assigned rate depends on a finer sub-classification and your own claims experience, and is only available in your WSIB online account.
What's the $121,700 figure for?
WSIB's 2026 maximum insurable earnings ceiling, per worker (up from $117,000 in 2025). It caps how much of each individual worker's earnings count toward insurable payroll — this tool doesn't apply it automatically to a total-payroll figure, since that requires per-employee data.
Does this cover other provinces?
No, this tool is Ontario (WSIB) only. Every other province and territory runs its own workers' compensation board with its own separate classification system and rate schedule.
Estimate only — not your assigned rate
This tool looks up WSIB's published 2026 CLASS-level average rate and estimates a premium from a payroll figure you provide. It is not your individually assigned WSIB rate, does not model risk-band movement, Schedule 2 (self-insured) status, or experience-rating (NEER/CAD-7) adjustments, and does not apply the per-worker maximum insurable earnings ceiling automatically. Confirm your actual rate and premium with WSIB directly.
