Revenue per attendee.

Enter your three prices and the share of attendances each one accounts for. See the average revenue per attendee, per class and which payers bring in the most.

Blended yield = sum of (share of attendances x revenue per attendance). At $25 drop-in (30% of attendances), $20 per pack class (30%) and a $120 membership used 8 times a month, $15 per visit (35%), plus 5% free, the average attendee pays $18.75, and a 12-person class brings in $225.

Worked example

The drop-in yield is $25. A $200 pack of 10 yields $20 a class. A $120 membership used 8 times a month yields $120 / 8 = $15 a visit. Attendances split 30% drop-in, 30% pack, 35% members and the remaining 5% free. Blended: 0.30 x $25 + 0.30 x $20 + 0.35 x $15 = $7.50 + $6.00 + $5.25 = $18.75 per attendee, 25% under the drop-in price. A class of 12 brings in 12 x $18.75 = $225. Drop-ins are 30% of attendances but 40% of revenue.

How it works

Pack yield = pack price / pack size. Member yield = monthly fee / classes the member attends a month. Free or comp attendances are whatever share is left after drop-in, pack and member shares, and they earn nothing.

Use shares of attendances, not shares of people: a member who attends 12 times counts 12 times. Your booking system usually reports attendances by payment type.

Member yield falls as members attend more. If members attend more often than assumed, revenue per attendee drops even though the fee is unchanged. Feed the result into the Fitness Class Break-Even Calculator as the revenue per attendee.

Sources and basis (checked 2026-10-08): arithmetic on the numbers you enter. No outside data or published rate is used, so every default is a placeholder to replace with your own. This is a planning estimate, not accounting, legal or tax advice.

FAQ

How do I calculate average revenue per attendee for a studio?

Work out revenue per visit for each payer type (drop-in price, pack price divided by classes, membership fee divided by visits), then weight each by its share of attendances and add them up.

Why is my revenue per attendee below the drop-in price?

Pack holders and members pay less per class than drop-ins, and free or comp attendances earn nothing. The blend is almost always below the drop-in price.

Should unused pack classes and member visits count?

Use the classes actually attended. Unused classes are breakage; see the Class Pack Breakage Calculator for their effect on price.

Why do the shares not need to add to 100%?

The rest is treated as free or comp attendance, such as guest passes and staff. If the three shares add to more than 100% the page shows an error.
