Purchasing · inventory cash

Supplier minimum, measured in cash and days.

See what an MOQ requires up front and how many days of stock it adds at the daily run rate you enter.

Purchase cash = MOQ × unit cost + quoted order costs. Stock cover = units ÷ average daily units. The supplier sets the MOQ; this planner shows its effect on your operation.

Method and limits

Shopify defines an MOQ as the smallest quantity a supplier accepts and distinguishes it from EOQ, the order size that minimizes ordering and holding costs. This planner does not determine the supplier’s MOQ or optimize demand. It divides the entered stock by your historical daily rate and calculates the cash needed for the quoted minimum.
