Payroll · Scheduling
Every pay date, on one calendar.
Pick weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly or monthly, enter one pay date, and get the full year of paydays. Paydays that land on a weekend (or a U.S. federal holiday, if you switch that on) move to the business day you choose. Pure date math: no tax, no wages. For deposit deadlines use the Payroll Deposit Schedule.
A biweekly schedule has 26 paydays in most years and 27 in some. Weekly has 52, or 53. This tool flags those years and shows the next ones for your schedule.

How the schedule is built
Weekly and biweekly schedules step 7 or 14 days from the pay date you enter, forward and backward, so a calendar year holds 52 or 53 weekly paydays and 26 or 27 biweekly ones. A biweekly year has 27 paydays when its first payday of the year falls on January 1 (or January 1 or 2 in a leap year). Semi-monthly is always 24 and monthly always 12.
Each payday is counted in the year of its scheduled date. If a January 1 payday is moved back to December 31, it still counts toward the January year. The shift rule only moves that one payday, never the schedule that follows it.
Federal holidays come from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management list, including its observed dates (for example Friday July 3, 2026 and Friday December 24, 2027) and the observed New Year's Day on Friday December 31, 2027 that OPM lists in its 2028 table. Frequently asked questions
Which biweekly years have 27 pay periods?
The ones where your first payday of the year lands on January 1 (or January 1 or 2 in a leap year), since 27 paydays span 364 days. Enter any one of your pay dates and the result lists the next years with an extra payday for your schedule.
Do banks and payroll providers follow the federal holiday list?
Not exactly. Treat the holiday option as a planning aid and check your payroll provider's or bank's own holiday calendar.
Does this calculate wages or taxes?
No. It only computes dates. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
Scheduling aid only
Your employer, state law or a union contract decides your real pay dates. Holidays are applied only for 2026 and 2027, from OPM's published list; other years shift for weekends only.
