Search for the name the practitioner used for their registration, which may differ from their common name.

The register covers 16 professions. Roles such as nutritionists and naturopaths are handled by state and territory bodies.

What if I cannot find a practitioner?

Try the name they registered under, ask them or their health service, or search by registration number. Ahpra suggests calling 1300 419 495.

Can I search by registration number?

Yes. The Name or Registration Number box accepts either. Ahpra does not publish a number-format rule on its register pages, so this page does not validate one.

Who handles complaints about fees or service?

Ahpra says complaints about a service, fee or dispute go to the relevant state or territory healthcare complaints organisation.

Does this page store what I choose?
